National Cryptologic Museum Tour
Photos at the National Cryptologic Museum at Ft. Meade, Maryland were made Wednesday, May 23, 2007. It is an uncrowded museum where we were not searched or held up. That would not be true if we dared to enter the large building nearby, the headquarters of the National Security Agency. When we walked in, a docent was leading a tour of four people. The three of us joined it near the beginning, and less than a dozen others arrived as the tour progressed. Afterward, we strolled around for a self-guided tour and more photos.
Near the museum is a display of three airplanes that were used in aerial intelligence gathering (flying over other countries' territories to spy). The display is meant to be a memorial to those shot down.
Friends may request higher-resolution photos. Plese write me with the photo file name. -Travis Hardin, ke3y at comcast.net.
